Frequently Asked Questions

  • Can scratched glass really be repaired?

Yes. In most cases, scratched glass can be professionally restored without replacing the entire pane. Our process removes scratches while maintaining the clarity and integrity of the glass.

  • Can you remove construction scratches?

Yes. Construction scratches are one of our specialties. We regularly repair glass damaged by tools, equipment, debris, and improper cleaning during the construction process.

  • Is it cheaper to repair glass than replace it?

In most cases, yes. Glass restoration is significantly more cost-effective than replacing the entire pane and helps avoid the time and expense of ordering new glass.

  • Can hard water stains be removed?

Yes. We can remove mineral deposits, corrosion, and severe hard water stains that traditional cleaning methods cannot eliminate.

  • What is acid etching?

Acid etching is a form of glass damage caused by acidic substances that permanently burn into the glass surface. The only way to remove acid etching is through a professional buffing, grinding, and polishing process.

  • Will I be able to see where the repair was made?

Our goal is to restore the glass to a like-new finish. In most cases, there are no visible signs of the repair once the restoration is complete.

  • Do you work on residential and commercial properties?

Yes. We provide glass restoration services for homeowners, contractors, hotels, property managers, retail businesses, and commercial buildings throughout Hawaii.

  • Can tinted glass be polished?

Yes, in most cases tinted glass can be polished. Typically, the tint is located between two panes of glass, allowing the surface to be safely restored without affecting the tint. In some cases, however, the tint may be applied directly to the surface of the glass. If this is the case, the repair depends on which side of the glass the damage has occurred. If the damage is on the tinted side, the tint can be removed, the glass can be professionally restored, and the tint can then be reapplied to return the glass to its original appearance.

  • Do you offer free estimates?

Yes. We provide free estimates and are happy to assess your glass damage to determine the best restoration solution.

  • What areas do you serve?

We proudly serve customers on any Hawaiian island. Contact us to discuss your project and schedule a consultation.

  • How long does the restoration process take?

The time required depends on the severity and size of the damaged area. Most projects can be completed much faster than replacing the glass.
